Curling on the beach in 47-degree celsius weather? We made it happen. This improbable dream became a reality as we brought the first-ever beach curling event to life. Spring break is traditionally associated with sun, sand, and good times. Travel experience company Xcape wanted to take their Cancun beach party to another level with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Together we developed the first-ever beach curling event, bringing the fan-favourite winter sport to the sandy beaches of Cancun.

Guests immediately were drawn to the Street Curling rink as they learned the game, enjoyed beverages with friends, and danced to the music streaming from the DJ booth. A bottle of tequila in one hand and Street Curling rock in the other, this was a curling party for the record books. Xcape’s spring break partiers had never been exposed to curling before and now they were throwing rocks surrounded by ocean views.

This partnership with Xcape proved to be extremely valuable as spring breakers enjoyed curling for hours under the Cancun sun while we successfully created the first-ever beach curling experience.
